The four main categories are as follows:
A-H - Locally Qualified
Either Born in Jersey and then 10 years aggregated residence in the Island, Or Not locally born but having 11 years continuous residency in Jersey
J CATEGORY - Essentially Employed
Where your job cannot be filled by a locally Qualified person and your Employer obtains a permit to employ you.
K CATEGORY
Usually granted to those with substantial wealth or of significant social benefit to the Island.
NON-QUALIFIED
All those persons who do not fit into any of the above categories.
